Top Cable, first European manufacturer to obtain CPR regulation on cables (AS)
Top Cable is pleased to announce that it is the first European manufacturer to obtain CPR regulation 1+ for its range of cables (AS), both Toxfree H07Z1-K (AS) and Toxfree RZ1-K (AS). These are non-fire propagating cables, with halogen-free materials and low emission of smoke and corrosive gases when exposed to fire.
The CPR certification has been carried out by AENOR, the European Notified Body responsible for issuing the certificate of Constancy of Performance for reaction to fire characteristics (EVCP) according to the 1+ system.
The achievement has involved the inspection of the production plants and the evaluation of production control, as well as controlling the tests carried out by the Notified Laboratory, CEIS, on the samples required by AENOR.
THE HIGHEST CPR REGULATION ON CABLES (AS)
Toxfree H07Z1-K (AS) and Toxfree RZ1-K (AS) cables have obtained CPR regulation with reaction class B2ca s1a, d1, a1, the highest level of requirement in the standard.
Class B2ca s1a, d1, a1, offers superior performance to class Cca in terms of resistance to the spread of flame and fire. On the other hand, during combustion it does not emit smoke, acids or toxics and gives off few flammable particles that are extinguished in less than 10 seconds.
Moreover, the 1+ system is the most demanding assessment and verification system (EVCP) established in the European CPR legislation.
The European CPR (Construction Products Regulation) has been in force throughout the European Union since July 2016.
