TOXFREE® ZH RZ1MZ1-K (AS), the halogen-free ATEX installation cable
TOXFREE® ZH RZ1MZ1-K (AS) cable is a cable specially designed to obtain maximum protection while still transmitting energy in installations with a high risk of fire and explosion (ATEX). It is a non-fire propagation cable that complies with the IEC 60502-1 and UNE 21123-4 reference standards.
DESIGN:
1 – Flexible copper conductor (class 5).
2 – Cross-linked polyethylene insulation (XLPE).
3 – Flexible, halogen-free, flame-retardant polyolefin outer sheath with low emission of smoke and corrosive gases in case of fire.
DESIGNED ACCORDING TO THE REFERENCE STANDARDS
This cable has been designed according to IEC 60502-1 and UNE 21123-4 reference standards. It has an armour with galvanised steel wires placed in a helix on the seat which, like the outer sheath, is made of fireproof polyolefin, green in colour, halogen-free. This type of cable is manufactured in single core and multicore versions. In single-core cables, aluminium wires are used to reduce losses due to induced currents in the armour.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Highly versatile.
- Can be installed underground or in conduit.
- Its minimum service temperature is -40ºC.
- The maximum conductor temperature is 90ºC.
- The maximum short-circuit temperature is 250ºC for a maximum of 5 seconds.
- The bending radius is 10 times its outer diameter.
- Very high impact resistance (AG4).
- Good resistance to chemical attack.
- Good resistance to water (AD5, water jets).

Its installation is highly recommended in service stations, petrochemical plants, flammable product warehouses, etc.
