Top Cable wooden electric cable drums and pallets guarantee that the wood used as raw material comes from forests managed in an environmentally friendly way, thanks to the Sustainable Forest Management Certificate PEFC™.
SUSTAINABLE AND CERTIFIED FOREST MANAGEMENT OF CABLE DRUMS AND PALLETS
PEFC™ certified is an independent forest certification that promotes sustainable forest management. For over a decade, Top Cable has replaced the supply of its electrical cables in standard wooden drums with PEFC™ certified cable drums and pallets. In addition, the blue paint we use on our cable drums has a totally vegetable and natural composition, free of chemicals and toxins as we do not use solvents. This blue paint on the reels is 100% biodegradable and totally free of pollutants or toxic vapours. As it has no polluting effects, we avoid harming people’s health while respecting the environment.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PEFC™ OR FSC™
The fact that a drum and pallets has PEFC™ -or FSC™– certificate guarantees the customer that the raw material from which the drum is manufactured comes from sustainably managed forests.
Both certificate organizations pursue the same goal: PEFC™ is promoted by the private sector, while FSC™ is mainly promoted by Greenpeace and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Both entities are fully compatible with other management system standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, …) and can be implemented in an integrated manner with them.
