A SINGLE-CORE, MULTI-CONDUCTOR VERSION OF CABLE

The Powerhard M RVhMVh-K cable, manufactured by Top Cable, is built according to IEC 60502-1 reference standards, with class 5 electrolytic copper conductors according to EN60228, cross-linked polyethylene insulation (XLPE), galvanized steel wire armor, arranged in a helix on the inner sheath, and black flexible PVC sheath. This type of cables is manufactured in unipolar and multiconductor versions. In single-core cables (RVhMVh-K type), aluminum wires are used to reduce losses due to induced currents in the armor.

Armoured cables such as Powerhard M RVhMVh-K offer increased resistance to factors that can compromise their structure and, consequently, their optimum performance. The protective layer offers greater resistance to impact (it is classified as an AG4 cable, very strong), to traction, bending and torsion and even to rodents, one of the main enemies of cables installed outdoors permanently or buried.

Its design also allows it to offer greater protection from external electromagnetic interference, minimising signal stabilisation problems and ensuring higher signal quality.

All these aspects ensure better performance over long distances and position it as a reliable and warranted option for installation in demanding environments. In addition, its explosion proof characteristics make it suitable for explosive locations.

SUITABLE FOR INSTALLATIONS WITH EXPLOSION PROOF REQUIREMENTS

The main applications of this cable are included in the ITC-BT 29 and 30 of the REBT (Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulations): on the one hand, thanks to its explosion proof characteristics, it is a suitable cable for service stations, petrochemical plants, etc. In premises with a fire or explosion risk (ATEX), provided that the particular regulations allow it, it is a cable that provides safety.

Furthermore, it can be used in installations such as production plants, agricultural services and, in general, in all installations where the cable is subject to the risk of mechanical aggression. Examples of the latter installations include production plants, agricultural services, street lighting, etc.
